Woolwich born Wright was the darling of the Highbury fans. In 1991 he was the Gunners' most expensive signing at 2.5 million. He was worth it, finishing the top scorer at Highbury for six consecutive seasons.

Over the years, Cameron has built up an extensive collection of football memorabilia, some of which date back to the 50's. This collection, together with his love of the game, inspired him to combine the two in his art. Pop Football is 'Pop Art' that is both inspired by football memorabilia while playfully reusing it in finished works.
